Nomination Date is July 19, 2025.
Advance Poll is August 2, 2025 from 10-12 p.m. Location will be posted closer to the date.
Election Date is August 16, 2025.
Notice of Intent to run is a new requirement under the legislation and differs from the nomination process. Candidates intending to run must notify administration via email at [email protected] with the Notice of Intent form. Once confirmed by administration, the name of the candidate will be included on the Register of Candidates and posted publicly in accordance with the Local Authorities Election Act.
Candidates can begin accepting campaign contributions and incurring expenses ONLY AFTER the Notice of Intent is completed. If the candidate will not be accepting donations, the Notice of Intent can be filed on Nomination Day, along with Form 4 Nomination paper & Acceptance

Candidates must:
✔️ Be eligible to vote in the Summer Village
✔️ Have resided in or owned property in Alberta for at least twelve months prior to the election
✔️ Submit a completed nomination package before the deadline
Who Can Vote?
To be eligible to vote, you must be:
✔️ At least 18 years of age on Election Day; and
✔️ A Canadian citizen; and
✔️ Named on a Certificate of Title within the Summer Village, or be the spouse or Adult Interdependent partner of a person who is named on a Certificate of Title; or reside permanently at a property located within the Summer Village
